We entered this path with wanting to work together, share in the Japanese heritage and share our story.
We believe that There is a need and always room for traditional folk art in today's modern times, it creates a more inspired , vibrant and engaged society.
For us there are so many efforts to sustain and support wood art and Kokeshi tradition and culture.
Our approach is simply to work with our hands and the raw materials to create a little Kokeshi personality with beautiful woods

Kokeshi are believed to bring prosperity, peace and a sense of safety to the houses that they occupy

Grandmama Minho reminds me of the stereotypical sweet older lady who bakes cookies for her grandchildren served with plenty of strong, hot, honey tea. Her face is quite expressive with large fully opened eyes and a full smile. There is a swipe of white paint on her forehead to show her age. No wrinkles, but she has a wise, contented look. The cherry burl body is highly polished with subtle lavender and pink flowers. They look a bit translucent….very dreamy. Kokeshi dolls are said to be comforting and create peaceful feelings when placed in people’s homes. Grandmama holds true to that promise in a very real sense.
