We believe that There is a need and always room for traditional folk art in today's modern times, it creates a more inspired , vibrant and engaged society.
For us there are so many efforts to sustain and support wood art and Kokeshi tradition and culture.
Our approach is simply to work with our hands and the raw materials to create a little Kokeshi personality with beautiful woods

Moriko Yama, made of Black Ash Burl, is a sweet faced Japanese style Kokeshi. His eyes have the usual sparkle of white reflection that artist Lisa Holt-Hodsdon adds the every doll she and husband/partner, Jacob Hodsdon, create. And, this doll has an extra charming touch of white and green sparkle on the side of each eye! It’s a lovely subtle enhancement. The ornamentation on the head is adorable. This wood piece is pretty all over, and the detailed painting makes the doll very special!
